WAJO is your invitation to dance; a multi-faceted dance focused project, aimed at dancers, dance lovers, and people from all walks of life.
WAJO celebrates the diversity of African and Nigerian dance culture and aims to promote these to Africans as well as to a broader global audience.
WAJO was born in April 2013 as a monthly dance event and has developed into a full-fledged dance project.
WAJO is a registered member of The International Dance Council CID, the official umbrella organization for all forms of dance in all countries of the world.
WAJO’s all-inclusive interactive monthly dance platform has over the years enjoyed playing host to some of Nigeria’s finest dance talents alongside executives from different fields, government officials, members of the diplomatic community, celebrities and dance enthusiasts.
Our yearly programs create a platform for recognition, learning and development while promoting a healthy competition among dancers.
I’m really surprised at what WAJO is doing, I credit their effort and their courage because.it’s not so easy organizing these projects where you are not making money
WAJO is a great initiative,I see it as my small home
I like the fact that WAJO is trying to get young people off the street,so they can do something creative with their talent which is amazing
